Christmas came early in Western Australia as Jingle & Mingle Perth 2026 brought together Scene to Believe’s Santa community for an evening celebrating connection, friendship and the people who create magical Christmas moments every year.
Held as part of Scene to Believe’s Christmas in July celebrations, the event gave Santa Characters the opportunity to gather outside the busy festive season, reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new members into the community.
From Perth to regional Western Australia, Scene to Believe Santa Characters share a passion for bringing joy to children and families. Jingle & Mingle Perth 2026 was a celebration of the people behind the beard and the friendships that continue long after the Christmas season ends.
One of the most rewarding parts of this role is seeing the connections people build with one another.
The People Behind the Red Suit
While many people know Santa as a symbol of Christmas magic, the Scene to Believe Santa community is built on something much deeper — connection, generosity and a shared purpose.
Santa Characters come from all different backgrounds and stages of life. Some have years of experience portraying Santa, while others are discovering a new opportunity to connect with their community and create memorable experiences for families.
Across Western Australia, these individuals bring their own personalities, stories and life experiences to the role.
Whether they are meeting children for the first time, returning for another Christmas season or supporting fellow Santa Characters behind the scenes, every member of the community plays an important part in creating the magic families remember.
Jingle & Mingle Perth 2026 provided a chance to celebrate these contributions and recognise the people who make Christmas special.
Building a Santa Community Beyond Christmas
For Scene to Believe Santa Characters, the community does not begin and end with December.
Throughout the year, Santas stay connected through community events, training opportunities, Santa Sip & Chats and monthly zoom meetings with fellow Santas across Australia and New Zealand.
These connections allow experienced Santa Characters to share their knowledge, support those new to the role and continue building friendships outside the Christmas season.
For many members of the community, becoming Santa is about more than creating magical moments for children — it is also about finding connection, purpose and belonging.
Jingle & Mingle Perth 2026 celebrated this year-round community and the relationships that make being part of Scene to Believe so rewarding.
Creating Meaningful Christmas Moments
Behind every Santa photo, every conversation and every Christmas memory is a person who chooses to bring kindness, patience and joy to families.
Santa Characters often experience moments that go beyond the traditional Christmas wish list. A simple conversation with a child, a heartfelt question or a meaningful interaction can become one of the most memorable parts of the season.
These moments are why so many people continue returning to the role each year.
The magic of Santa is not just about the costume — it is about the connection created between people.
People often think being a Santa is about Christmas, but for many of our Santas it’s also about community.
Proudly Supporting Movember
Community and connection are at the heart of the Scene to Believe Santa community.
As part of Jingle & Mingle Perth 2026, proceeds from the event were proudly donated to Movember, supporting initiatives focused on men’s health, mental wellbeing and suicide prevention.
Supporting causes that encourage people to look after themselves and each other reflects the values shared by the Santa community — kindness, connection and creating positive experiences for others.
Through events like Jingle & Mingle, Scene to Believe Santas continue to celebrate community both during Christmas and throughout the year.
