OUR COMMITMENT TO CHILD SAFETY
Because Magical Moments Begin With Safety
At Scene to Believe, we put people first, and child safety is at the heart of everything we do. Led by care, empathy, and a shared sense of responsibility, we’re committed to creating magical, meaningful moments for every family we meet.
We recognise our duty of care to every child, parent, and team member, and maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward unsafe behaviour or practices. Safety isn’t just a standard — it’s part of who we are, it’s the foundation of every magical moment we bring to life.
OUR STANDARDS
Working with Children Checks / Screening Requirements
All Scene to Believe team members must obtain a cleared Working with Children Check (WWCC) or an equivalent screening as a condition of their employment. We go beyond the minimum legislative requirements in each state and territory, guided by our values — led by care and driven by progress — to deliver best-practice standards that ensures every experience is both safe and magical.
Our approach across Australia includes:
- Queensland: Every team member proudly holds a Blue Card
- New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia & Western Australia: All our people are checked and approved through the Working with Children Check (WWCC)*
- Australian Capital Territory: Our team is cleared through the Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)
- Tasmania: All staff are checked and approved through the Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (RWVP)
*Where younger team members are not eligible for a WWCC clearance (e.g. under 18 in NSW, under 14 in SA), we require a Criminal History Check or equivalent screening to uphold the same safety standard.
Additional Screening
Our recruitment process includes structured interviews, reference checks, and declarations confirming suitability to work with children and alignment with Scene to Believe’s values and culture.
Child Safety Officer
A dedicated Child Safety Officer oversees compliance, training, and reporting across all locations — ensuring child safety remains everyone’s top priority.
Annual Verification
All team member checks are verified annually before each season to confirm they are current and valid — adding an extra layer of confidence to Australia’s continuous-monitoring system. We also perform additional verifications in selected regions to strengthen local systems and maintain continuous safety confidence.
OUR ON SITE SAFETY PRACTICES
Ensuring Best-Practice

- Together as a Team: At least 2 staff members are rostered on every set, at all times.
- Never Alone: No team member is ever left alone with children.
- Parents & Guardians are Part of the Magic: Your presence makes the experience special and is also an important layer of safety and comfort.
- Open & Welcoming Spaces: Our sets are designed for open visibility, safe access, easy exits, that ensures transparency, so everyone feels relaxed and secure.
OUR TRAINING & CULTURE
Values-based Environment
Every team member completes Child Safety Training covering respectful interactions, professional conduct, and reporting expectations.
